Jack provided day-to-day and strategic direction to the Medway Innovation Institute and managed the course of operations. Jack was Medway NHS Foundation Trust’s Executive Director of Transformation and Digital after joining the Trust in 2018. He worked previously at NHS strategy consultancy, Carnall Farrar and also at PwC Strategy&. Jack specialised in devising and deploying financial, clinical and digital strategies for hospitals, managing large-scale improvement and productivity programmes. He is a mentor and advisor as part of the Digital.Health.London Accelerator and also serves as  National Ambassador for the Model Hospital. A big thank you to Jack for his vision and enthusiasm in implementing the Institute to the Trust.

 

Sophie Buck
QI Coach and Founding Member

 

Sophie provided day-to-day support to the Medway Innovation Institute, running the website, social media platforms and organising events. She was responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy. Sophie joined Medway Foundation Trust in 2019 as part of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) with her first placement in Acute and Emergency Medicine. Sophie supported the Trust’s Strategic Command as part of the response to Covid-19. Prior to joining the scheme, Sophie gained a BSc in Medical Sciences at the University of Leeds and is studying for a MSc in Healthcare Leadership at the University of Birmingham. 

Claire Baigent
Communications and Media Manager

Claire joined Medway NHS Foundation Trust’s communications team in 2019, following seven years working at another NHS hospital in Kent. Prior to this, Claire worked as a Senior Communications Officer for Kent Police, covering Medway and North Kent. She has extensive crisis communications experience and has worked on a number of large events, such as The Open golf tournament. She has a keen interest in current affairs and studied Politics at the University of Leeds. Claire was passionate about sharing and promoting the incredible work of her colleagues and the Trust as a whole, as well as helping to support the Medway Innovation Institute and the ground-breaking initiatives that were developed.
